Sources close to soccer ace George Lebese claim that he was “provoked” into assaulting her after discovering she was cheating.
By now we all know that 26-year-old Kaizer Chiefs midfielder and star player George Lebese has found himself in some hot water after physically assaulting his girlfriend and damaging her Mercedez Benz
Now, in a twist of events, sources close to George have come out to defend his recent abusive action claiming that the young soccer ace has been nothing but a loving boyfriend to his girlfriend.
They don’t dispute the fact that George laid his hands on a woman but somehow seem to argue that he did so because he was “pushed” too far.
The sources further claim that before the incident at Silverton on Sunday 8 February, he had been very suspicious of his girlfriend’s ways and had reason to believe that she was cheating on him
His girlfriend, who is described as “a rich daddy’s little girl who drives around in her father’s fancy cars” could not be reached for comment. Several publications have learned that she has since changed her cellphone number to avoid interrogation by the media.
Whether or not she was cheating on George or provoked him in any way is beside the point
Women abuse on any level and by any means is wrong and we can only hope that men respect and love their partners enough to walk away from heated arguments.
