Mmeli and Thandeka Hit Their First Relationship Turbulence
The saying “easy come, easy go” seems to be playing out fast inside the Big Brother Mzansi season 6 (Bazozwa) house, as Mmeli and Thandeka are already nursing their first bruises in a connection that began just hours after the show premiered.
Since entering the house, the two have spent a lot of time together and appeared to be growing close. However, early tension emerged involving Didi, after what seemed like competition for Mmeli’s attention. This tension previously sparked an altercation between Thandeka and Didi. While Thandeka maintained that she was merely offering skincare advice when she told Didi to “fix your face,” Didi interpreted the comment as demeaning and rooted in rivalry over a man, accusing Thandeka of trying to lower her self-esteem.

Things escalated further today when Mmeli and Thandeka reached a boiling point and went their separate ways after failing to resolve a disagreement.
Earlier in the day, King Wanda asked Thandeka whether she and Mmeli were officially an item. Thandeka denied it, which surprised King Wanda, who admitted he had always assumed they were together. Thandeka responded, “We haven’t even kissed for us to be labelled like that.”
According to Thandeka, the argument with Mmeli stemmed from him shouting at her. She confronted him about the way he spoke to her, but the discussion remained unresolved after Mmeli walked away mid-conversation.

Feeling frustrated and emotionally drained, Thandeka later vented to Bravo B, expressing that she felt neglected by Mmeli. Bravo questioned whether she might already have feelings for Mmeli, pointing out that her reaction sounded deeper than a disagreement between people who had just met. When Thandeka admitted she was tired, Bravo reminded her, “But you just arrived.” Overwhelmed, Thandeka broke down in tears, saying she was exhausted from trying to read people’s intentions.
Bravo attempted to calm her down, and he asked if he could speak to Mmeli on her behalf. She later suggested that it might be better if Bravo addressed both of them together. Bravo quickly declined, jokingly responding, “I’m not a pastor.”
Thandeka later shared her side of the story with Ramona, once again emphasizing that Mmeli had raised his voice at her.
Interestingly, despite the tension, Mmeli expressed a very different perspective during his diary session.
Big Sister: Which housemate has made the first impression on you?
Mmeli: “Obviously Thandeka, because on the first day she was misunderstood. I understand her in a way because she’s a very blunt person. For me, it’s one of those things that makes me interested and want to get to know her more. We’ve been chilling together. People are thinking there will be something, but it’s just two mature people enjoying each other’s company. I’m learning a lot from her.”
It remains to be seen whether Mmeli and Thandeka can resolve their differences, or if this marks the beginning of a short-lived connection in the Bazozwa house.
