Liema says she won’t let any male housemate distract her, she sees them as “just friends”
Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 has officially premiered, welcoming 23 housemates into Biggie’s house to compete for the coveted R2 million grand prize. Among them is Liema Pantsi (24), a former housemate from Season 4 (Big Brother Mzansi: S’ya Mosha), who has returned as one of the four out of seven ex-housemates given a second chance at redemption.
The King William’s Town, Eastern Cape native, who is both a student and a musician, made it clear that this time she is in the house with one goal in mind: the bag. Speaking about her current life, Liema revealed that she is in a committed relationship, saying, “I am currently in a very loving relationship, and I do not dream of losing what I have.”
During her first appearance on the show, Liema was caught in a dramatic love square involving Jareed, Mpumi, and Elsie, all competing for Jareed’s attention. Despite being one of the season’s strongest contenders for the R2 million, she made a shocking decision in the Fate Room by choosing R250,000 and exiting the house.
Reflecting on that moment, Liema explained that she had already accumulated two strikes and feared she might be evicted without walking away with anything. She also admitted she had no idea how strong her fanbase was at the time, so taking the guaranteed money felt like the safest option.
Outside the house, her relationship with Jareed continued but lasted less than 10 months before ending. During the Season 4 reunion, Liema also revealed that she briefly dated winner McJunior, but that relationship also failed to survive.

Recently, Liema has been sharing sneak peeks of her current relationship, and she insists that she has no intention of dating inside the house this time.
However, viewers may be curious to see how long that resolve will last in the intense Big Brother environment. Already, she has commented on Tumi and Dube, with Tumi reminding her of Jareed because of his confidence and charisma.
