Neliswa Diary Session Highlights
In her Diary Session, when asked how she was feeling, Neliswa said:
“I’m feeling calmer than yesterday, but still numb. I wasn’t expecting the energy in the house to be the same after not speaking to the boys for three days. Celebrating Ashay’s birthday was fun though, and it lifted the mood a bit.”
On the most difficult moment that stood out to her, she mentioned:
“Last night, some of Ramona’s words to iLano were very triggering. The comments she made were alarming, even if they were said out of anger. Neliswa explains that this shocked her because she had previously respected Ramona and did not expect her to go that far, especially toward someone she describes as kind and non-confrontational. iLano doesn’t stress anyone, so she didn’t deserve to be spoken to like that.”
When asked why she thinks those comments were made, Neliswa believes the tension may have grown during the week’s separation task, which intensified divisions among the women and created alliances. She feels Ramona became defensive and isolated with one group, which may have contributed to her saying hurtful things.
According to Neliswa, the housemates had learned how to live with Thandeka when she was mostly occupied with Mmeli. But once the separation rule was enforced, Thandeka formed an alliance with Ramona, who had been chosen as the girls’ representative. Since housemates of different genders were not allowed to communicate directly unless the vuvuzela sounded, Ramona was meant to represent all the girls. However, Neliswa feels Ramona began representing only Thandeka and became unfair to others.
Neliswa also added that she dislikes when strong personalities oppress those who seem vulnerable. She believes iLano struggles to defend herself, and some housemates took advantage of that.
When asked if she had any questions for Big Brother, Neliswa wondered whether Big Sister was aware of a note Thandeka allegedly wrote about her, Liema, and Trixie. She questioned how Thandeka got access to a pen, since writing materials are usually only provided during official tasks.
Big Sister assured her that the issue is being investigated.
