Trouble in Paradise: Mmeli Hurt by Thandeka’s Comment
One of Big Brother Mzansi season 6 fan favourites Mmeli and Thandeka appear to have hit a rough patch, with tensions between the two lingering since yesterday and no resolution in sight.
The disagreement began during a discussion about cleaning duties in the house. Thandeka raised concerns about some housemates being reluctant to participate in cleaning, which led to a back-and-forth between her and Mmeli.
Mmeli explained his perspective, saying that living together comes with shared responsibility, especially considering the mix of personalities in the house.
One thing you have to understand is that we’re living with younger brothers and sisters, and somehow we have to take responsibility. Unless you catch someone in the act, if something has already happened, then let’s just fix it up,” Mmeli said.
Thandeka, however, felt misunderstood and pushed back, saying Mmeli had taken her words out of context.
I think you’re getting the wrong context. I’m not the one who came… Then why would I stand and listen to you and even waste my time?” she responded.

Later in the night, the tension escalated when Mmeli chose not to share a bed with Thandeka, something that has been their routine since day one in the house. Concerned and visibly emotional, Thandeka went to Mmeli’s bed to address to offer an apology.
Mmeli, what did I do to you? I’m sorry. If you really feel disrespected, I’m really sorry,” she pleaded.
Mmeli, however, remained unconvinced.
Mean your apologies. You don’t even seem genuine, like you just want to say anything,” he replied.
Thandeka insisted that her apology was sincere and not forced.
You can hold me accountable tomorrow or the next day if you want. I’m not apologising just so you can say you forgive me. I’m genuinely sorry. If you forgive me, you forgive me. If not, you don’t have to,” she explained.
Despite her efforts, Mmeli stood his ground.
Mmeli: “I will see you tomorrow.”
Thandeka: “Please come to bed.”
Mmeli: “I said I will see you tomorrow.”
After repeated pleas, Thandeka refused to walk away.
Well, I’m not leaving you then. I am sorry though,” she said before climbing into Mmeli’s bed uninvited, where she spent the rest of the night.
