Big Brother Mzansi Reunion part 3: Swiss Stands Firm on His Decision That Ended Ashley Ogle’s Journey

The Big Brother Mzansi Reunion once again revisited a moment that sparked intense debate among viewers, Swiss’s decision that ultimately led to Ashley Ogle’s exit from the Big Brother Mzansi Umlilo house. When asked by host Smash Afrika of whether he would have opted for a different choice, Swiss made it clear that he has no regrets about choosing Ash-ley Ogle.

Smash posed a direct question to Swiss, suggesting that without his action, Ashley Ogle might still have been in the competition, and asked whether he would do things differently if given another chance. Swiss’s response was immediate and unwavering: NO.

Pressed further on how the decision affected his game and his relationship with Sweet Guluva, Swiss offered a blunt and unapologetic explanation. He emphasised that Ashley Ogle and Sweet Guluva only met in the house and had no prior relationship. For Swiss, the game was always about competition, not sentiment.

According to Swiss, the Big Brother Mzansi house is built on destiny and strategy, and only one person can win. He firmly believed that it was not Ashley’s fate to win the season, but Sweet Guluva’s.

He rejected the idea of protecting a fan favourite for the sake of public approval, stating that he was also there to compete and run his own race. Swiss questioned why he should sacrifice his game to save someone who could potentially eliminate him later, simply because viewers liked her.

Swiss further pointed out that every housemate auditioned under the same conditions, all seeking the same opportunity for success. He admitted that while saving Ashley was an option, it came with risks he was unwilling to take. Instead, he chose to protect a bond he had formed with Nsuku, even though he knew the decision might strain his relationship with Sweet Guluva.

Despite anticipating backlash and misinterpretation of his intentions, Swiss stood by his belief that the game demanded tough choices. In his view, someone had to leave, and he was prepared to own that decision.

Ending on a decisive note, Swiss reaffirmed that if faced with the same situation again, he would make the same choice without hesitation.
