Big Brother Mzansi Reunion: Makhekhe and Taki Confront the Root of Their House Feud

The first episode of the Big Brother Mzansi Reunion delivered intense revelations as former housemates finally addressed long-standing tensions that had remained unresolved since their time in the house. Among the most heated moments of the night was the confrontation between Makhekhe and Taki, a clash that shed light on the true origins of their rivalry during Big Brother Mzansi S’ya Mosha.

Makhekhe, who finished as the first runner-up of the season, sat down with Taki, initially introduced as a fake housemate before earning full housemate status after Biggie’s challenge, alongside Neo, also a former fake housemate. The trio came together to clear the air over misunderstandings that had fueled animosity throughout the game.

Makhekhe did not hold back, directly accusing Taki of harboring resentment rooted in his relationship with Neo. He claimed that Taki avoided confronting him directly and instead used his position as Head of House to assert power rather than addressing the issue face to face.

According to Makhekhe, Taki’s hostility stemmed solely from jealousy over Neo. He insisted that there was no other reason for the tension between them and confronted Taki head-on during the reunion.

“I remember you, you used to hate me because I wanted Neo. That’s the only reason you hated me, you had no other reason” Makhekhe directly telling Taki.

Taki, however, presented a different version of events. He explained that Neo had approached him while they were together and expressed discomfort, alleging that Makhekhe was still pursuing her. Taki said he was advised by Neo not to engage Makhekhe over the issue, but matters escalated when he later heard claims that Makhekhe was speaking negatively about him to her.

“Neo came to me one day and told me that you were still pursuing her and still trying to make a move. I asked myself, ‘Now because this time I’m with her you are starting to feel uncomfortable?’  Neo told me not to speak to you and not to worry about it. Then as time moved, I started to hear from Neo yet again that you’re talking to her badly about me. Then I start to get confused, why are you speaking badly about me to her? ” Taki Said.

The situation, according to Taki, reached a breaking point after a controversial comment allegedly made by Makhekhe, involving a “two bullets” statement. Taki said the remark made him feel targeted and threatened, leading him to conclude that Makhekhe had declared open hostility toward him. From that moment on, he decided to accept that they did not see eye to eye and moved accordingly.

“So after that two bullet thing where you said if you had a gun with two bullets you were going to shoot me twice, at that point I was like, this guy is putting war against me. It’s like you were targeting me, I couldn’t just sit there and say ‘Makhekhe thank you very much’ . So from that moment I said well, this is the vibe, you don’t like me and it’s okay we don’t have to see eye to eye”. Taki Added.

Makhekhe, however, strongly denied Taki’s accusations. He dismissed the claims as untrue and maintained that Neo had addressed the situation respectfully and directly, asking him to stop pursuing her. According to Makhekhe, he accepted her boundaries and backed off immediately.

” I think that’s a lie. You Know, Neo reprimanded me in a nice way, she was like ‘Makhekhe I don’t like you to keep on pursuing me’ and I respected that.” Makhekhe clarified.
