BBMzansi housemates suffer their first wager loss in week 4.
The results of the Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 wager for Week 4 left the housemates disheartened as they faced a tough week ahead following their loss—the first of its kind under the leadership of Jojo, the season’s first female Head of House (HoH). Unlike her predecessors, who have been Big Brother Mzansi wager winners, Jojo’s time in charge did not bring the same success. As a result, the housemates will have to make do with only basic supplies next week, with no luxury items available. This defeat is particularly hard for Jojo, who has once again made history—this time as the first HoH to oversee a wager loss this season.
In week 4, Biggie assigned housemates a task that will help them embark on a journey of self-discovery, creativity, and teamwork with a theme being “Lali Living”,. They tapped into their inner animals, explored life as farmers, and showcased their culinary skills by making various traditional foods.

But the highlight of the week was their comedic farm-life pantomime. Big Brother tasked them with creating an entertaining storyline that showcased their talents and creativity. The stakes were high, with the housemates wagering 80 percent of their weekly supplies.
The stage was set, literally, as the housemates stepped into a Lali living-themed arena, complete with hay and a fence. The pantomime was based on the life of Ash-ley Ogle’s journey as a young slay queen played by Mandy Hagan who fell in love with a lali man, played by Sweet Guluva. She narrates her life to her granddaughter, played by Mata.

The housemates brought their A-game, with standout performances from HoH Jojo and Siphesihle, who showcased their impressive singing talents. However, despite their best efforts, the housemates failed to execute the script as given by Big Brother, and their talents weren’t enough to secure a win.
The question on everyone’s mind is: How will the Big Brother Mzansi season 5 wager housemates respond to this loss? Will they take it as an opportunity to regroup and do better, or will it fuel the existing tensions and food fights in the house?
