Bazozwa Housemates Lose Week 8 Wager Task in Big Brother Mzansi.
The Bazozwa housemates have suffered a setback after losing the Week 8 wager task in the Big Brother Mzansi 2026 house, ending what had been an impressive winning streak throughout the season.
For weeks, the Season 6 housemates appeared to have cracked the code to winning Biggie’s wagers, successfully completing most of the previous challenges. However, Week 8 proved to be their toughest test yet, as the housemates failed to secure their wager after misinterpreting the task brief.
Week 8 Theme: Prey vs Predator
This week’s wager task revolved around the “Prey vs Predator” theme. Housemates were instructed to create a narrative reflecting their journey in the competition, including alliances, rivalries, and the survival instincts needed to reach the Top 10.
Their final performance was evaluated based on several key criteria:
- Unified storytelling and the ability to craft a collaborative narrative that mirrored the predator–prey dynamics in the house.
- Use of the jungle setting, costumes and body paint to represent their chosen animal personas.
- Vocal authenticity and the organic integration of their animal characters into the performance.
Performance Misses the Brief
The housemates fully embraced the jungle-themed stage, delivering a visually striking performance with elaborate costumes and body paint. However, despite the creative effort, their storytelling missed the mark.

After the presentation, Big Brother questioned whether the housemates truly understood the task brief before crafting their story.
Head of House Ashay Explains.
Big Brother called on the current Head of House, Ashay, to explain how the group interpreted the challenge.
Ashay explained that the housemates believed the task required them to tell a story about their personal journeys in the house, including alliances they formed, conflicts they faced and how they survived the competition to reach the Top 10.
Big Brother appeared unconvinced.

Big Brother’s Criticism.
Big Brother clarified that the brief was much simpler: housemates were expected to tell a story purely centered on predator–prey dynamics within the Big Brother jungle.

He expressed disappointment that by Week 8, the housemates still relied heavily on reading scripts rather than delivering a natural and authentic performance.
While he praised the visual aspect of the presentation, describing the housemates as “rare and dangerously beautiful animals”, he emphasized that the storytelling lacked the central tension required for the theme.
A predator must hunt, the prey must feel. That tension, the very heart of the brief, was not seen anywhere, Big Brother noted.
According to him, what should have been a gripping story instead felt like a reading session that failed to capture the intended narrative.

Final Verdict.
Following the critique, Big Brother officially ruled that the housemates had lost the Week 8 wager task.
Liema’s Earlier Comments.
Interestingly, during the preparation discussions, Liema had already raised concerns. She asked the group whether they were comfortable presenting something that might not fully align with the task brief.
Her comment reportedly unsettled several housemates at the time, and in hindsight, it appears her concerns may have been justified.
