Team Creamy Cheddar Wins Simba Task Challenge in Big Brother Mzansi
It was a massive victory for Team Creamy Cheddar during the exciting Simba-sponsored task challenge in the Big Brother Mzansi 2026 house.
Earlier in the day, the Top 10 housemates were briefed about the challenge, which required them to test their taste buds, teamwork, and communication skills. Housemates randomly picked from a box to determine which team they would join.
The groups were divided as follows:
Team Creamy Cheddar
Team Mrs H.S Ball’s Chutney
Challenge Rules
The Simba challenge required housemates to identify different Simba chips flavours purely by tasting them. The task tested their ability to recognize flavours while also communicating effectively with their teammates.
The winning team would walk away with R5,000, to be shared equally among the five members (R1,000 each).
Round One: Blindfolded Taste Test
In the first round, housemates were blindfolded and asked to select chips from one of six boxes. After tasting, they had to communicate the flavour to their team members.
Team Creamy Cheddar delivered an impressive performance, correctly identifying all 6 out of 6 flavours. Meanwhile, Team Mrs H.S Ball’s Chutney managed 4 out of 6, putting them slightly behind early in the challenge.
Round Two: Descriptive Guessing Game
The second round tested communication skills even further. Each team selected a representative who tasted different Simba flavours and then described them to teammates without directly naming the flavour.
Teammates then had to guess the correct chips flavour based on the descriptions. The team that completed the task in the shortest time would win the round.
Once again, Team Creamy Cheddar dominated, finishing first and earning 4 points, while Team Mrs H.S Ball’s Chutney received 2 points.
Final Results
By the end of the challenge, Team Creamy Cheddar emerged victorious with 16 points, securing the R5,000 cash prize. Team Mrs H.S Ball’s Chutney finished with 10 points after a spirited effort.
