Thandeka’s Diary Session Highlights – Gratitude, House Tension & Wager Confidence.
Thandeka’s diary session in the Big Brother Mzansi 2026 week 8 was filled with reflection, confidence, and strong opinions as she reacts to making the Top 10.
“Being Yourself Is the Best Strategy”
When asked how she feels about reaching the Top 10, Thandeka described herself as lucky, supported, and deeply grateful. She said her journey proves that being authentic is the best thing a person can do.
Thandeka acknowledged experiencing overwhelming moments in the house but believes viewers have seen a vulnerable side of her that many people usually hide. She explained that showing emotions, even the messy ones, can feel risky because of fear of judgment, yet she is proud she stayed true to herself.
Mood in the House: “A Dark Aura”
Discussing the atmosphere this week, Thandeka described a sense of tiredness and mild confusion among housemates. She mentioned that small inconveniences, like not being able to use the tap and relying on the shower have added to the tension.
According to her, there’s a subtle “dark aura” in the house, with fatigue setting in as the competition intensifies and numbers decrease.
Excited About the Wager
Unlike some of her fellow housemates who admitted confusion, Thandeka said she loves this week’s wager and feels excited about it. She is particularly eager to showcase the connection between herself and the animal she chose, suggesting that the theme aligns closely with her personality.
Frustration With Housemates’ Approach.
When asked how the house is handling the wager, Thandeka didn’t hold back. She believes the task is straightforward but claims some housemates are deliberately choosing confusion.

She expressed frustration that, in her view, certain contestants want to be “spoon-fed” instructions instead of applying logic and discretion. She also revealed that when she presented her ideas to the group, she felt they were not receptive.
Thandeka argued that many housemates avoid acknowledging the “brutality” they’ve used to survive in the game, including forming alliances or leveraging others for screen time. She emphasized that alliances come in different forms: some built on loyalty and safety, others formed to “pounce together” during arguments.
Using herself as an example, she pointed out that despite not having major fights with many housemates, she has still found herself targeted.
Thoughts on the Other Top 9.
When asked how she feels about the remaining nine housemates, Thandeka admitted mixed emotions. She said she is happy with some but dissatisfied with others.
She expressed disappointment that the competition doesn’t always feel like “real gamers” competing strategically. Instead, she suggested that some conflicts stem from personal dislike rather than calculated gameplay.
