Ashay Retains the Head of House Crown

Big Brother Mzansi Season 6: Ashay Retains Head of House Crown in Week 8.

Ashay has once again proven why he is one of the fiercest competitors in the Bazozwa house after retaining the Head of House (HoH) title for Week 8 of Big Brother Mzansi Season 6. Known for his determination and competitive spirit, Ashay successfully defended his crown in a high-intensity challenge, becoming only the second housemate this season to achieve a back-to-back HoH victory.

Earlier in the season, Tumi the Barber set the benchmark by retaining the HoH title consecutively. Now, Ashay has matched that impressive record, solidifying his status as a strong contender for the R2m grand prize.

Week 8 Head of House Challenge Breakdown

This week’s Head of House challenge was designed to test teamwork, agility, endurance, and precision, unfolding in three dramatic stages inside the Arena.

Elephant Formation

The challenge kicked off with the Elephant Formation, where housemates had to link arms in a single file line and navigate a tricky obstacle course. The task required them to circle around trees without breaking their chain.

Ashay teamed up with Thandeka and Que, and their teamwork paid off as they emerged victorious in this round, advancing to the next stage of the competition.

Predatory Walk

Next came the physically demanding Predatory Walk. Housemates had to zig-zag across the Arena on all fours to collect animal props before returning upright,  all while carefully avoiding knocking over strategically placed cups.

Ashay and Que successfully completed the challenge, while Thandeka fell short at this stage.

Banana Challenge

The final stage, known as the Banana Challenge, delivered a nail-biting finish. Both finalists were blindfolded and tasked with fishing out real bananas from a box filled with mixed fruits and vegetables. Each banana earned 10 points, making speed and precision crucial.

In a tense and dramatic finale, Ashay outperformed Que to reclaim the Head of House crown, earning immunity from this week’s possible eviction.

Following his victory, Ashay selected Liema as his guest to join him in the HoH loft for the week.
